Overview
To manage your website, you’ll need to log in to your admin dashboard, where you can update content, monitor analytics, and configure various settings.
How to Log In (Common Method)
1. Go to your website’s login page.
- The login page is usually accessible by adding /wp-admin (for WordPress) or /login (for some custom CMS) to your domain. For example:
- WordPress: www.yourwebsite.com/wp-admin
2. Enter your login credentials.
- Username: This is typically the admin username you created when setting up the website or the one provided to you by your web developer.
- Password: Enter the password associated with the admin username.
3. Click on the Login button to access the admin dashboard.
Resetting Your Password via the Login Page
1. Navigate to your website’s admin login page (as shown above).
2. Click on the Lost your password? or Forgot your password? link beneath the login fields. This will direct you to a password recovery page.
– For WordPress: The link will look something like: www.yourwebsite.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword.
3. Enter your email address (the one associated with your admin account) into the recovery form.
Note: If you don’t receive the reset email right away, check your spam or junk folder.
4. Check your inbox for a password reset email.
The email will contain a link to a page where you can create a new password.
5. Click the link in the email to open the reset page.
6. Enter your new password and confirm it.
7. Click Reset Password.
8. Log in with your new credentia
